The proposed Plant is suitable to produce 40%(by weight) ferric chloride solution from scrap iron of proper size, industrial water and chlorine gas. The design production capacity of our standard plant is up to 20 TPD of ferric chloride (100% basis) in 40% water solution.
  • TYPICAL CHEMICAL ANALYSIS

  • Appearance brown-yellow liquid
    Titer as FeCl3: 40¸41 % w/w
    Titer as FeCl3 - 6 H2O: 66.66¸68.32 % w/w
    Titer as Fe: 13.6¸14.1 % w/w
    Density at 15 °C 1.420¸1.434 kg/l
    Fe (as FE++) traces
    Free acidity (as HCl) 0.15 % max

  • MAIN APPLICATION

  • The main FeCl3 application is as coagulant medium for flocculation processes.
    Some examples are:
    - water conditioning
    - industrial waste water treatment
    - urban waste water treatment
    - phosphate abatement in superficial water
    - inorganic, pharmaceutical, glass industries
    - metal extraction and metal engraving
